Kent James
Kent has served the InsideIQ organization in both the Secretary and Treasurer roles during his membership tenure. He began his career in the facility solutions business in 1985. He joined Control Technologies, Inc. as an owner in 2006 and currently serves as the President of the organization. His responsibilities include managing business development and overall operations. Other priorities include ensuring customer satisfaction and company profitability.
Before joining Control Technologies, he worked in the industry for manufacturers such as KMC, Simplex, and Johnson Controls helping grow their sales and field operations businesses. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Texas A&M.

Jason Keyes
President and co-owner of Automated Building Systems in Oklahoma City.
Jason has been with ABS for 11 years beginning as a sales engineer and ultimately becoming president and co-owner. He began his career in the building automation industry more than twenty years ago having worked with Siemens and Alerton prior to ABS. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and is a member of industry organizations such as ASHRAE, SAME, and PHCC.
As president of ABS OKC he works to drive an exceptional workplace culture that values commitment to project excellence and exceeding customer expectations….do it right and take care of the customer!

Paul started in the controls industry in 1982 as a Sales Engineer with Johnson Controls, Inc.. Founded Automated Control Systems, Inc. in 1987 with partner Wayne Durr serving Louisiana and Mississippi. Has vast experience in the HVAC Building Automation industry and is a licensed Professional Engineer and a member of several professional engineering organizations.

Steven spent the last 19 years helping to manage and grow Smartware Technologies, first as a division of long-time Inside IQ member and Schneider partner Building Controls and Services (SmartEdge), and more recently as a stand-alone company.

Bud Smith
Bud has been in the mechanical contracting business fore more than 30 years, all of them with Shambaugh, and Havel. During that time, he has served as branch manager, service manager, and operations manager, working on a wide array of projects including temperature controls installations, mechanical retrofits, and maintenance contracting. His expertise extends from technical sales and project management to HVAC evaluation and building commissioning.
A 1980 graduate of Bell Labs with a degree in electronics, Bud is currently a mem- ber of the Havel Standards Committee on Temperature Controls, where he helps evaluate the potential impact of new products, advanced installation techniques, and recent revisions to the Indiana Energy Code.

Joel started in the control industry in 1984 after graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in mechanical engineering. Automated Building Systems-Tulsa, Inc. was formed in 1998 and has grown to be the premier building automation system provider for eastern Oklahoma and the Tulsa area.
